Currently we are conducting a fundraising campaign. We are
asking the community for their generous support by placing an ad in our
Community Safety Guide
which will be distributed free of charge throughout the area.
Funds received from this endeavor will go towards many
worthwhile activities that are sponsored and supported by the
Rhode Island State
Sheriff's Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #24!

State House changes
in
the Marshal/Sheriff departments in section 8 and the The Police Board of
Relief in section 10 where they want to stop anyone from applying for
benefits after July 1, 2010.
It
was brought to my attention today that they are trying to change the
Police and Fire Program as of July 1,2010 which is FY 2011. I have the
link below to the website and it is Article 10 which is pages 60-67. I
wanted to give you all a heads up or maybe you already know.
